2. A biometric study based on 20 human scapulae made it possible to specify the variations in the gap of the coraco-acromial arch in relation to its depth and height. A graphic representation in rectangular coordinates, then in spatial representation in relation to the three planes of reference, leads to the following findings: the bony variations in the arch occur essentially at the coracoid apophysis, and two types of arch can be distinguished depending on the predominance of bony or of ligamentous components.

Une étude biométrique portant sur 20 omoplates humaines a permis aux auteurs de préciser les variations de l'écartement de la voûte acromio-coracoïdienne en fonction de sa profondeur et de sa hauteur; une représentation graphique en coordonnées rectangulaires, puis en représentation spatiale par rapport aux trois plans de référence apporte les éléments suivants: les variations osseuses de la voûte se situent essentiellement au niveau de l'apophyse coracoïde, et l'on peut distinguer deux types de voûte selon la prédominance des éléments osseux ou ligamentaires.
